The Bible in a Year and other stuff!

So I stepped up to the plate and decided that I was going to read the Bible in a year, so far its been great; I've learned alot about myself and my relationship with God, and I am only three days into it! So far ive been through Isaiah 1-6, Matthew 1-2, and today Romans 1-2 were it talks alot about trusting God and and being obediant, something I have kinda struggled with. for the longest time I knew I was called to have some part in ministry wether it be as simple as teaching a class or leading worship or even a youth minister... I dont know yet, but im pretty sure I will find out. as I was reading through Romans 1-2, three verses really stuck in my head, this is from the message,

*Romans 1:17 " the person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives."

*Romans 2:4 "God is kind, but not soft. In kindness he takes us firmly by the hand and leads us to radical life-change."

*Romans 2:13 "Doing, not hearing, is what makes the difference with God."

As I grew up, I picked up the guitar not knowing what I was getting into; I had never really thought I could sing, I was too shy to play infront of people, I had no vision of what I wanted to do with giutar playing, and had no clue I would be eventually leading worship for the youth group at The Attic and occasionally church on Sundays... But you know what, God has a funny way of doing somethings, he has lead me to a "Radical life-change.", because I was bold enough to stand before people (with the help of one Nic Burleson) and share the gifts God has given me peoples lifes have been changed, and thats awesome to think that I helped do something that important. It was because I not only heard what God was telling me, I acted out on it, and that has made all the difference!

So as I finish, I ask that you pray for me. Pray that I will be obediant to what God has to say to me about my future in the ministry (worship leading, or youth ministering). I am 100% positive that whatever he has instore for me will be the best for me.

my Physics project........ uh yeah you need to read this!!!!

KilaManJaro Bridge

The KilaManJaro Bridge was discovered by Lewis and Clark on the Manifest Destiny Exploration on July 17, 1805. They accidently ran across the bridge trying to escape wild dingos and jumping kangaroos. When they realized what they had ran across the remembered the location and came back later the next day. They evaluated the bridge and declared it the greatest bridge ever. They looked the bridge with such awe and amazement that they began to cry and decided to make a new country named after the bridge, KilaManJaro of America. But this was declined by President Jackson so it never happened. All official documents were destroyed in the battle of bacon and eggs. There is only one picture of this bridge taken by three physics students from lockhart and Mrs. Bagley if you are reading this hopefully you are cuz if you arent then all this time has been wasted staying up late trying to think of stories to write after our first page got deleted because of some weird reason, anyways as i was saying if you are reading this we tried so hard to scale the golden gate bridge down but it just did not turn out so well. So this is are pathetic attempt to pass so if deep down in your heart you can find the kindness to pass us. If you dont pass us you still have to admit this was pretty funny. Just remember we have dirt on you.

Love,

First time in forever

well this is Pittman again, i finally got back to blogging now that i figured out that i had to have a Gmail account in order to do it. So yeah, football is now over and its depressing to think that i might never get to play football again. our season went great we were 8-4 and made it two rounds deep into the playoffs, as a matter of fact we were the first bi-district champs since 1971, thats 37 years. i was real proud of what our team had done this year, how we stepped up to the challenge that our coach had set for us " the quest for the gold ball." and we got one! so yeah i had a great time playing football. we had ten people get 1st team all district, about 8 get 2nd team and 5 get honorable mention including me, for kicking! so yeah i just want to thank everyone who supported us all season long, it really helped us push through and play the way we did. well thats about all i have to say, so ummmmm yeah, this is The Leg With The Keg, signing out.      MP!!!
